MOSCOW, July 14, 12:21 /ITAR-TASS/. The inflow of children and women to Russia from Ukraine has grown dramatically, Head of the Russian Federal Migration Service Konstantin Romodanovsky said during a meeting with Director of Bureau for Europe of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Vincent Cochetel, on Monday.

“The number of women (who entered Russia from Ukraine) has doubled,” the Russian official said adding the number of children from Ukraine had doubled, too. “Now, the number of children is almost 200,000, while last year the number was about 100,000.”

Thus, he continued as saying, the authorities have to settle issues of kindergartens, schools, and universities.

“We are getting ready to settle the issues,” he said. “My saying ‘we’ I mean not only the migration service, but all the involved authorities, and first of all the headquarters headed by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak.
