Ukraine’s over 21 thousand refugees stay at temporary accommodation in Russia

Russia’s over 30 regions have welcomed refugees from Ukraine

MOSCOW, July 12, /ITAR-TASS/. The number of refugees from Ukraine staying at temporary accommodation facilities in Russia exceeds 21,000, spokesman of the emergencies ministry (EMERCOM) Aleksandr Drobyshevsky said on Saturday.

“On Friday, we have organised additional seven accommodation facilities,” he said. “In 321 facilities remain over 21,200 people now.” The number of refugees at the temporary facilities grew since Wednesday to almost one thousand.

Russia’s over 30 regions have welcomed refugees from Ukraine. The people have found shelter mostly in the Central, Southern and North-Caucasus Federal Districts, as well as in Crimea.
