MOSCOW, July 07. /ITAR-TASS/. The Russian Foreign Ministry has denounced two terrorist attacks that took place in Kenya on July 5, the ministry’s Information and Press Department reported on Monday.

A group of militants gunned down on Saturday visitors of a shopping mall in the town of Mpeketoni in Lamu Country, while in another development there was an armed attack on a police station in the town of Gamba, the ministry informed. Somalia’s extremist organization al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attacks. The two terrorist acts killed 29 people, and scores were wounded.

“Moscow resolutely condemns these bloody crimes and expresses solidarity with the government and people of Kenya in fight against terrorism,” it said, expressing condolences to the relatives of the dead and wishing an early recovery to the injured.
