GORKI, July 02. /ITAR-TASS/. Natalia Timakova, spokeswoman for Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, has dismissed as "fantasy" the allegations that the Russian Cabinet was planning to return to five-year plans for planning Russia's social-economic development similar to the Soviet-era practice.

"The government has no plans on the transition to the "five-year plans," Timakova said, dismissing the allegations by one of the media sources as "someone's fantasy".

The government in its day-to-day activity has been guided by decrees issued by the Russian president, a document on the main directions of the activity of the Russian government until the year 2018, state programs with set deadlines for their implementation, and finally, the main financial document - the Budget of the Russian Federation, which was calculated in the past few years, proceeding from a three-year plan of economic development, Timakova said.
