Crimea and Sevastopol will take part in a micro census of Russian population in 2015

There are no plans to hold separate censuses in Crimea or Sevastopol

MOSCOW, June 29 /ITAR-TASS/. Crimea and the federal city of Sevastopol, the two new constituent entities of Russia, will take part in the 2015 micro census of the Russian population, according to the Russian Federal Service for Statistics.

There are no plans to hold separate censuses in Crimea or Sevastopol.

“That will not happen because the money for the census campaign should be included in the state budget. Besides, preparations for the census should start well in advance. Several months are definitely not enough. A micro census will be held in Russia, including Crimea, in 2015, the press service of the Russian Federal Service for Statistics said.

Crimea and Sevastopol will also take part in an agricultural census in July 2016.

The micro census will be held from October 1 to October 31. About 1.4 million people or about 1% of private households will be polled in all regions and territories of Russia.
