KEMEROVO, June 21 (Itar-Tass) - All the miners were evacuated from the Osinnikovskaya coalmine in the Kemerovo region. Nobody was hurt, the press service of the regional department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry told Itar-Tass.
"The evacuation is completed. All the 199 miners are taken onto the surface," the press service said.
Rescuers and firefighters were continuing working at the site.
A fire was discovered when a well was drilled in the Osinnikovskaya mine on Saturday morning. The work was halted, and 199 miners were being evacuated, a source at the department told Itar-Tass earlier.
