Doors should remain open for dialogue — Lavrov

MOSCOW, June 20. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the crisis in Ukraine interrupted contacts between Russian regions and Ukrainian partners.

“Two weeks ago, the first forum of Russian and Belarusian regions was held in Minsk. The forum was successful,” Lavrov said.

“Unfortunately, contacts between our regions and Ukrainian partners stopped due to the political crisis in Ukraine.  I’m confident that our doors should remain open for dialogue,” Lavrov said at the 23rd session of the Council of Heads of Russian Regions on Friday.
