MOSCOW, June 17./ITAR-TASS/. The Russian Investigative Committee (SK) has opened a criminal case into a new incident involving Russian journalists Yevgeny Davydov and Nikita Konashenkov, both on staff of Zvezda television, who were captivated in Ukraine, SK spokesman Vladimir Markin told ITAR-TASS on Tuesday.

"For two days the two unarmed men had been beaten up and intimidated to make them send a false report about the situation in Ukraine," Markin said.

The criminal case will be joined to investigation files into a criminal case opened earlier into facts of banned methods of war the Ukrainian warmongers have been using in the southeast of Ukraine, Markin said.
