Over 1 billion roubles will be provided to flood-stricken Siberia - Emergencies Ministry

The government has started one-time payment from the reserve fund

MOSCOW, June 14, 19:29 /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s government has sent over 1.1 billion roubles to people, hit by the flood in the south of Siberia, the Emergency Situations Ministry spokesman has said.

“Over 86.2 million roubles have been provided to Khakassia. About 587 million roubles have been allocated to the Republic of Altai. Over 453.2 million roubles have been sent to the Altai Territory,” the ministry’s spokesman, Alexander Drobyshevsky told Itar-Tass on Saturday.

The government has started one-time payment from the reserve fund. “Over 2,000 people in the Republic of Altai have received 10,000 rouble compensations,” Drobyshevsky said.

Commissions for assessing flood-caused damage work in all flood-hit areas, he said.
