MOSCOW, June 09. /ITAR-TASS/. Military delegations of Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have met over the preparation of joint counter-terrorism exercises dubbed Peace Mission 2014.
“During the consultations in Beijing, the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organisation) member-states will approve a plan for conducting the exercises, the dates of arrival and departure of military contingents, operational requirements and a plan for interacting during the maneuvres,” the spokesman to the Eastern Military District, Colonel Alexander Gordeyev told ITAR-TASS on Monday.
The Peace Mission 2014 exercises will be held at the Zhurihe training ground in late August, Gordeyev said.
The exercises will involve 800 servicemen of the motor-rifle unit and over 100 pieces of hardware.
