Rakhmanov elected as president of United Shipbuilding Corporation

MOSCOW, June 5. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Alexei Rakhmanov is elected president of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), Vice-Premier Dmitry Rogozin said in his Twitter blog.

Rakhmanov replaces Vladimir Shmakov who had occupied the post for a year.

The corporation is Russia's largest shipbuilding company, uniting more than 50 enterprises and organizations (shipbuilding and ship repairing yards and leading design offices). The USC accounts for about 80% of the entire domestic shipbuilding complex.

Rogozin also said a directive was signed on the election of Vladimir Pospelov, the head of the governmental Council for Shipbuilding, as chairman of the board of directors of the USC.
