Lavrov, Kerry to meet in Paris on Thursday

Crisis in Ukraine, conflict in Syria and the course of the removal of chemical weapons are expected to be the principal items on the agenda

WASHINGTON, June 04. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry will hold a bilateral meeting in Paris on Thursday, Jen Psaki, head of the State Department press service, announced on Tuesday in a talk to journalists accompanying Kerry in a trip to Europe as a member of the delegation of US President Barack Obama, who had set out Monday on a tour of Poland, Belgium, and France.

Ms. Psaki said the crisis in Ukraine, as well as the internal conflict in Syria and the course of the removal of chemical weapons from that Middle Eastern country were expected to be the principal items on the agenda of the Lavrov-Kerry forthcoming talks.
