MOSCOW, June 02. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia considers the events in Abkhazia to be the internal matter of the Abkhazian people, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
“This is the internal matter of the Abkhazian state. We call for settling all disagreements without violence,” Lavrov said on Monday.
“The authorities and the opposition should work out agreements on the basis of a dialogue,” he said.
“Our priority is that different political forces in Abkhazia settle the disagreements without violence. Those who demonstrated the high responsibility by putting the country’s interests above the interests of separate politicians showed real national wisdom,” Lavrov said.
“I’m confident that relations between Russia and Abkhazia will develop dynamically. We did not hear other words from any political force or political party in Abkhazia,” he said.
