An alert regime has been announced in Tuva and Buryatia

BARNAUL, May 31 /ITAR-TASS/. Head of the Russian emergency situations ministry Vladimir Puchkov says an emergency regime has been introduced in the Altai republic and Khakassia.

Besides, an alert regime has been announced in Tuva and Buryatia. The natural calamity in southern Siberia is at the federal level. The flood may develop into Yakutia and partly into the Amur region.

“EMERCOM should organise cooperation with counterparts in China and Mongolia and should monitor water-related activities in China and Mongolia,” Puchkov told a meeting at the ministry.

“If you learn about drops of water, make immediately the information available to Russian regions,” he added.
