The talks with South Sudanese Foreign Minister Barnaba Benjamin focused on military-technical cooperation and contribution to business contacts, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Monday.
“We discussed cooperation in such areas as construction, energy, oil and gas, and personnel training,” he said.
A year ago the first Russian-South Sudanese business forum was held in Juba. “We believe that it is time to prepare a similar event and make the agenda more concrete,” Lavrov said.
“I think that the meetings with the leadership of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will facilitate this,” he said.
