MOSCOW, May 22, 15:57 /ITAR-TASS/. Russia has asked London to give official explanations in connection with comments made by heir to the British throne Prince Charles on the activities of Russian President Vladimir Putin, spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Lukashevich said on Thursday.

"We have paid attention to a media report about a statement, made by Prince Charles in a private conversation during a visit to Canada. If Prince Charles really made this comment, his words certainly do no honor to the future monarch of Great Britain," Lukashevich said.

"Russia's position on Ukraine, Crimea has been brought home to the world public by the president, prime minister, foreign minister and other representatives of the Russian leadership practically in an everyday regime," Lukashevich said.
