Cooperation with Pakistan priority for Russia — State Duma speaker

MOSCOW, May 22. /ITAR-TASS/. Pakistan’s National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has invited Russian President Vladimir Putin and State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin to visit the country in the near future.

Sadiq met with his Russian counterpart at the State Duma on Thursday.

“Our aim is to establish contacts between the parliaments, the governments, businessmen and the peoples of both countries,” he said.

“Cooperation with Pakistan occupies a rather important place in Russia’s foreign policy priorities,” Naryshkin said.
