“We find this incident ahead of the Victory Day celebrations particularly cynical,” Russia's Foreign Ministry says

MOSCOW, May 06. /ITAR-TASS/. Desecration of a monument to Soviet pilots in the Estonian village of Rasa is “one more act of vandalism which we estimate as nothing but defamation of memory about liberators of Europe from the Nazi plague,” the Russian Foreign Ministry stated on Tuesday.

“We find this incident ahead of the Victory Day celebrations particularly cynical,” the country’s diplomatic agency said, adding that “We expect that Estonian authorities will give a proper assessment to this incident and will take exhaustive measures to find those guilty and avert similar provocative incidents in the future.
