GORKI, April 29. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has met Crown Prince of Bahrain, First Deputy Prime Minister of the kingdom Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on Tuesday. They discussed energy, transport and military-technical cooperation.
Upon results of the meeting a package of documents was signed. Deputy Minister of Economic Development Nikolai Podguzov and Bahraini Foreign Minister Khalid bin Ahmad bin Muhammad Al Khalifa signed an agreement on encouragement and mutual protection of investments between the governments of the two countries.
Russian Deputy Transport Minister Valery Okulov and Bahraini Transport Minister Kamal bin Ahmad Muhammad have signed a memorandum on mutual understanding between Russian and Bahraini aviation authorities on bilateral cooperation in civil aviation.
Director General of the Russian Fund of Direct Investments Kirill Dmitriyev and Bahraini Transport Minister Kamal bin Ahmad Muhammad have also signed a memorandum on mutual understanding between the Russian direct investment fund and Bahraini state-run investment holding Mumtalakat. The volume of a fund being created may reach one billion dollars. The signing of this memorandum will promote exchange of information and experience in the sectors of mutual interest for both sides and will set common parameters to search for and develop further mutually beneficial investment capabilities in Russia and Bahrain.
