MOSCOW, April 28. /ITAR-TASS/. Combat teams of Moscow region’s Zvenigorod air defense missile regiment armed with S-400 Triumf air defense missile systems were put on combat duty for air defense of Russia’s capital, Moscow. Spokesperson of the Aerospace Defense Troops Colonel Alexei Zolotukhin reported this on Monday.
In 2014, more than 200 officers of air defense missile regiments of the Aerospace Defense Troops completed training and passed successfully controlling tests for use of air defense missile systems S-300 Favorit and S-400 Triumf on the basis of the training regiment, he noted.
“The training air defense regiment of the Aerospace Defense Troops in Moscow Region is intended to improve training of combat teams of command stations of air defense missile regiments and divisions S-300, S-400 for combat actions in a hard air situation with real flights and simulators Tembr-M,” Zolotukhin added.
The training simulator Tembr-M is unique over the capability to model any conditions of combat situation in the real time mode and the real geographical position, he said. Staying in Moscow Region and using a digital map specialists of the training regiment have the possibility to train combat teams of air defense missile regiments S-300 and S-400 to act in any part of the world.
“In the previous year training tactical events were held more than 30 times on the basis of the training regiment. Specialists of the regiment have trained more than 70 combat units of command posts of air defense missile regiments and divisions and around 1,000 servicemen of air defense missile troops passed controlling training,” the spokesman of the Aerospace Defense Troops added.
