SIMFEROPOL, April 22. /ITAR-TASS/. The deadline for Russia’s Crimean residents to refuse Russian citizenship will not be extended, deputy head of Russia’s Federal Migration Service Sergei Kalyuzhny told reporters on Tuesday.

“The deadline is not extended, because it is stipulated by law. One month was granted for this. As many as 3,427 applications [for denying Russian citizenship] were made. And I believe that this figure is final,” he said.

The deadline for filing applications to deny Russian citizenship in the Russian Republic of Crimea expires on April 18.
