Fingerprinting to be made mandatory for obtaining Russian visas — foreign ministry

MOSCOW, April 18. /ITAR-TASS/. Applicants for Russian visas will be required to undergo fingerprinting procedures, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said on Friday, submitting to the State Duma, the lower house of parliament, a draft law on amendments to the Russian law on the procedures of entry into and exit from the Russian Federation.

“Fingerprinting is supposed to be conducted for obtaining visas,” he said.
