Putin appoints Aksyonov acting governor of Crimea

NOVO-OGAREVO, April 14. /ITAR-TASS/. President Vladimir Putin has appointed Sergey Aksyonov as Acting Governor of Crimea.

At a meeting on Monday, April 14, Putin said gubernatorial elections in Crimea would be held on September 14.

The Russian president asked whether Crimea was ready for the elections. “Crimea is ready,” Aksyonov assured the president.
