Putin instructs Interior Ministry to protect budget funds for 2018 FIFA World Cup

The head of state noted the necessity to implement a set of measures to protect budget funds allocated for ambitious investment projects and for establishment of a tourism cluster in Caucasus

MOSCOW, April 11. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed the Russian Interior Ministry to ensure protection of budget funds allocated for preparations to host 2018 FIFA World Cup and other large-scale federal projects. A relevant order has been included in the National Plan to Counter Corruption for 2014-2015, approved today.

The head of state also noted the necessity to implement a set of measures to protect budget funds allocated for target programs, ambitious investment projects and for establishment of a tourism cluster in the North Caucasus Federal District, the southern Russian Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Adygea.

A report on the results of the order’s execution should be submitted by December 1, 2015.
