Domestic gas explosion kills a woman in Omsk; three children are in hospital

OMSK, April 06, /ITAR-TASS/. Domestic gas explosion killed a woman in a 16-flat apartment building in the Omsk region on Sunday, Alexei Puryshev, a spokesperson for the Russian Emergencies Ministry department for the Omsk region, told Itar-Tass.

Two children, born 2005 and 2011, with heavy traumas have been taken to intensive care. Another 4-year-old child is in hospital with head injuries.

The explosion occurred in a house with 16 tenants in the Konnezavodsky village of the Omsk region at 06:35 (03:35 Moscow time). Eight tenants are said to have been taken to hospital. Thirteen are staying at their relatives. Rescuers with sniffer dogs are searching the rubble for the four missing people.
