Ukrainian officials invited to attend CIS foreign ministers’ conference in Moscow April 4

MOSCOW, March 28. /ITAR-TASS/. Ukrainian officials have been invited to attend a conference of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers in Moscow April 4, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin said Friday.

“As far as I know, Ukrainian representatives have been invited to it,” he said.

March 19, Ukraine took a decision to discontinue its term of rotating presidency in the CIS, and the Ukrainian ambassador to the CIS coordination institutions, Ivan Bunechko, laid down the powers of chairman of the Council of CIS Ambassadors.

A bill on Ukraine’s withdrawal from the CIS was registered in the Verkhovna Rada on March 24.
