MOSCOW, March 28. /ITAR-TASS/. The counterproductive initiative with the resolution of the UN General Assembly on Ukraine would only impede efforts aimed at the settlement of the internal political crisis in the country, Russia’s Foreign Ministry stated on Friday.

“The persistence with which the authorities in Kiev and the foreign ‘advocates’ representing their interests are trying to distort the essence of the alarming processes taking place in Ukraine, cannot cause anything but regret,” the ministry noted. “The whole unexpended potential of propaganda machine of the ‘cold war’ times is used in order to push into the background the fact of the deepest internal political crisis in Ukraine and shift the responsibility for the escalation of tension onto the Russian Federation.”
