Putin demands quick legislative groundwork for Crimea, Sevastopol

NOVO-OGARYOVO, March 27. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday demanded from the Russian parliament to promptly ensure necessary legislative groundwork for the economic and social development of Crimea and Sevastopol.

“It is necessary to ensure legislative groundwork for everything that concerns the development of economy and social sphere of Crimea and Sevastopol,” the president said at a meeting with the upper house’s council.

Putin said their accession to Russia necessitated solution of many tasks. “We must smoothly, carefully, consistently and professionally ensure the entry of Crimea and Sevastopol into our legal system without creating any problems for the people, but on the contrary creating conditions for the development of economy and social sphere of Russia’s new entities,” the president added.
