Russian Emergencies Ministry sends humanitarian aid for Syrian refugees in Jordan

MOSCOW, March 27. /ITAR-TASS/. Humanitarian aid has been sent to Syrian refugees staying in Jordan, Russia’s Ministry for Emergency Situations says.

“In pursuance of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s instructions the Il-76 aircraft has left for Jordan from Moscow Region’s Ramenskoye airfield. The aircraft carries 40 tonnes of humanitarian aid for Syrian refugees,” the ministry’s representative Alexander Drobyshevsky told ITAR-TASS on Thursday.

The Il-76 will deliver a mobile power station, tents, cloths and foodstuffs, the spokesperson said.
