Electricity supplies to Crimea restored in full volume

MOSCOW, March 24. /ITAR-TASS/. Electricity supplies have been restored in Crimea in full, a source at the CrimeaEnergo information and consultation center told Itar-Tass.

Earlier on Monday, Ukraine’s Energy Ministry promised to restore electricity supplies to Crimea by 16:00 Moscow time.

Ukraine cut electric energy supplies to Crimea by 50 % on Sunday because of a heat rise in contacts at a substation in Melitopol during repairs at the Kakhovskaya-Ostrovskaya high-voltage power line.

Ukraine’s Energy Ministry has introduced an emergency shutdown regime in amount of 296 Megawatts.
