MOSCOW, March 24, 3:07 /ITAR-TASS/. Russia's President Vladimir Putin on Monday will sum up the results of the Games in Sochi and consider a re-introduction of the GTO (Russian acronym for "Ready for Labour and Defence") physical training norms for people in Russia.
These matters have been brought up for discussion at a session of the Council to the Head of State for Physical Culture and Sports, the Kremlin press service reported.
The Council is also expected devote attention to the development of mass sports and physical training, the preparation of sportsmen for next Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang in 2018, and, on the whole, to the developmeny of Winter Olympic and Paralympic sports in Russia.
It is planned that Putin will present State awards to the organizers of the 2014 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, to coaches and directors of sports federations.
