MOSCOW, March 21. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked policemen for successful work to ensure security at the Winter Olympic Games and the Winter Paralympic Games in the Russian Black Sea resort city of Sochi and the World University Games in the city of Kazan, the capital of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan.
“You have not only ensured security, but also have created a good atmosphere,” Putin said at an enlarged meeting of the country’s Interior Ministry board. The president thanked police “for professionalism and responsible approach, respectful attitude to guests, athletes and Sochi residents.” The country’s leader noted that police have not only ensured security, but have also “created a good, positive atmosphere at these events.”
“I find it important that this positive experience will be used actively and augmented in the future. Particularly when resolving such a serious organisational task as formation of police departments in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol according to Russian legislation,” Putin added.
