MOSCOW, March 21. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia wants to see Ukraine free of radicals, says Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov.

“The ongoing events reflect a deep crisis of Ukraine’s statehood,” he said on Friday. “We are interested in this crisis to be overcome for our fraternal nation to breathe freely and for Ukraine to recover from this misfortune, when people relying in many respects on extremists, neo-Nazis and radicals, who do not take into account interests of the major part of Ukrainians, have come to power.”

Russia’s proposals for settling the situation in Ukraine “are targeted at this,” Lavrov said. “This is a profound constitutional reform reflecting interests of all regions without exception and guaranteeing unity of the Ukrainian nation. This is what we are applying our effort on.”
