SEVASTOPOL, March 19. /ITAR-TASS/. Participants in a rally in front of the building of the Ukrainian naval force have broken through the perimeter fence into the territory of the military unit and hoisted the Russian and St. Andrew’s flags, an ITAR-TASS correspondent reports from the site.
The rally in front of the naval staff building began at 08:00 local time (GMT+2) on Wednesday morning. Several hundred demonstrators broke the fence, forced their way into the building and replaced the flags on the masts.
At this moment the demonstrators are holding talks with Ukrainian naval officials. No violence has been used against Ukrainian military. Russian military are not involved in the incident.
