Crimea is accepted into Russia from Tuesday - Agreement

MOSCOW, March 18. /ITAR-TASS/. The Republic of Crimea is considered accepted into the Russian Federation since Tuesday, Agreement, signed by the Russian president and the Republic’s leadership.

“The Republic of Crimea is considered accepted into the Russian Federation from the date of the Agreement,” the text reads. “From the date the Russian Federation accepts the Republic of Crimea, the Russian Federation establishes new members - the Republic of Crimea and the city of federal status - Sevastopol.”

The Agreement comprises a preamble and ten articles, containing provisions regarding accepting into the Russian Federation of the Republic of Crimea and establishment in the Russian Federation of new members, including a provision on territories of new members, citizenship of the people living there, bodies of state authorities of those members of the Russian Federation.
