KEMEROVO, March 18, /ITAR-TASS/. Coal extraction at coalmine Krasnogorskaya in Russian Urals’ Kemerovo region, where two miners died in rock collapsed overnight to Tuesday, was suspended, Siberian regional emergency situation centre reported on Tuesday.
According to updated reports, 56 from 58 miners went up to the surface, one of them was injured. Two miners died in rock fall in the shaft.
“The reasons for the incident are being looked into. Coalmine Krasnogorskaya in the town of Prokopyevsk, Kemerovo region, suspended coal extraction for the period of eliminating after effects of rock fall,” the emergency situation centre noted.
The regional emergency situation centre reported earlier that rock collapsed in the coalmine due to fall of technical structures.
