Russian Foreign Ministry confirms readiness to participate in CIS meeting on Ukraine

MOSCOW, March 13. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Foreign Ministry has confirmed it is ready to take part in a meeting of CIS countries at the level of Deputy Foreign Ministers on the situation in Ukraine that is due to take place in Minsk on March 14.

The ministry has expressed regret with the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry’s statement saying the CIS member-states would refuse to discuss the situation in Ukraine.

On March 11, Russia informed the CIS Executive Committee that it agreed to hold the meeting on the situation in Ukraine. “Now the matter depends on Ukraine that said the meeting was unacceptable for it,” the ministry said.
