MINSK, March 13. /ITAR-TASS/. The Russian Air Force has sent six Su-27 jets and three military transport planes to Bobruisk aerodrome in Belarus on Thursday, the press service of the Defense Ministry of Belarus told Itar-Tass on Thursday.

The inspections of combat readiness of the Armed Forces of Belarus have been held since January, the source said. The inspection of the troops' readiness to fulfill the tasks set forth to the Joint regional air defense forces with the involvement of the Russian component, as envisaged in the agreements in the framework of the union state, will be held in the second leg of the inspections of combat readiness, it said.

Belarus suggested that Russia should take part in a joint stage of the exercise. Hence, on March 13, 2014 six Russian jets Su-27 and three military-transport planes with aviation and technical personnel of the Russian Western Military District on board have been transferred to Bobruisk aerodrome in Belarus, the Defense Ministry of Belarus reported.

"In the event of further accumulation of troops formations in the states adjoining Belarus it will take adequate measures of response on its territory," the Belarusian Defense Ministry said.
