MOSCOW, March 08, /ITAR-TASS/. Russia and Tajikistan have built allied relations and strategic partnership, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at a meeting with his Tajik colleague Sirojidin Aslov on Saturday, March 8.
Lavrov noted that this was Aslov’s first foreign visit since appointment. “This underscores the nature of allied relations and strategic partnership between our countries,” he said.
Aslov noted that the recent meeting in Sochi was productive. “I congratulate you on the excellent organisation of the Olympic Games and the successful performance of the Russian athletes,” he said.
“We consider this visit a continuation of our political dialogue in order to advance our bilateral cooperation,” Aslov said.
