SOCHI, March 07. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin hopes that the Paralympics in the Russian Black Sea resort city of Sochi will allow bringing down slightly “heat of passions” over the situation in Ukraine.
“I hope that the Paralympics will bring down slightly heat of passions over Ukraine,” Putin told International Paralympic Committee President Philip Craven at a visit to Sochi fine arts museum on Friday.
“Mostly important is that all this will not affect athletes so they would be able to concentrate on competitions,” the president added.
