Moscow shocked by how Ukrainian media distort Russian diplomat’s words

MOSCOW, March 07. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Foreign Ministry is astonished and even shocked by the blunt distortions in the Ukrainian media of what the Russian ambassador to the UN said on the contacts between Russian government officials and representatives of the incumbent authorities in Kiev.

“Particularly subversive are the allegations that Moscow has decided to sever diplomatic relations with Ukraine,” a spokesman for the ministry said.

“These rumors are spread in spite of the fact the full text of Ambassador Vitaly Churkin’s answers to reporters upon the end of the consultations, which the UN Security Council held behind closed doors, is placed at the website of the mission to the UN and is supported by a video version,” he said.

“Such methods of propaganda are totally unacceptable and are capable of careening the situation in different parts of Ukraine further, given the over fanning of anti-Russian sentiments by the incumbent authorities in Kiev,” the spokesman said.
