MOSCOW, March 05. /ITAR-TASS/. The Military Committee under the Council of Defense Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization will meet in Moscow on Wednesday, March 5, to discuss the military and political situation, along with challenges and threats in the regions of collective security, the CSTO press service told Itar-Tass.
CSTO officials will also consider the development of the Organization's military component, joint military exercises in 2014 and preparations for the upcoming sessions of CSTO founding bodies.
The meeting will be chaired by head of the Military Committee, chief of Russia's General Staff Valery Gerasimov.
The committee comprises chiefs of General Staffs of the CSTO member-states.
General Gerasimov is Russia's First Deputy Defense Minister.
