Officer dies in fire at military unit in Moscow

MOSCOW, March 05. /ITAR-TASS/. An officer has died in a fire that broke out at a military unit in Russia’s capital, Moscow, the press service and information department of the Defense Ministry told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.

The fire broke out at around 03:30 Moscow time (GMT+4) on Wednesday in an administrative building on the territory of a military unit in northern Moscow. The fire has spread on around 200 square meters, the press service and information department said.

“An officer died of carbon dioxide poisoning in the fire,” the press service said.

“A committee of the Defense Ministry is working at the fire site to establish causes of the fire and damages,” the press service said.
