MOSCOW, March 03. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s Foreign Ministry has noted “the coincidence of Russia’s and China’s positions on the situation in Ukraine”, the ministry said in a statement circulated on Monday.
The ministry commented on the results of a telephone conversation between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Chinese counterpart Wang Yi.
“The foreign ministers of both countries exchanged views on the situation in Ukraine. They noted the coincidence of positions on this aspect,” the ministry said.
Lavrov and Wang Yi agreed “to continue close contacts on this issue”, the ministry said.
