MOSCOW, March 02, /ITAR-TASS/. Russian and Turkey stressed the importance of further joint efforts to normalize the situation in Ukraine, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Sunday after a telephone converstation between Russian State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Grigory Karasin and Turkish First Deputy Foreign Minister Feridun Sinirlioglu.
“The sides discussed the situation in Ukraine,” the ministry said. “Feridun Sinirlioglu informed Grigory Karasin about the results of a working visit to that country by Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu. The two diplomats stressed the importance of further joint efforts aimed at the normalization of the socio-political situation in Ukraine.
