SEVASTOPOL, March 02, /ITAR-TASS/. Representatives from the Russian Union of Afghan Veterans arrived in the Ukrainian autonomous republic of Crimea at the invitation of their Ukrainian colleagues on Sunday.
The Russian delegation is lead by the chairman of the Russian Union of Afghan Veterans, head of the defence committee of the Russian State Duma lower parliament house Frants Klintsevich.
“The aim of the visit is to offer friendly and moral support to Ukrainian Afghan veterans, Klintsevich told Itar-Tass over the phone. “Members of the Russian delegation will meet with their comrades-in-arms to discuss the current political situation in Crimea.
