Sergei Lavrov Wednesday discussed with ambassadors of EU countries the situation in Ukraine, cooperation prospects

MOSCOW, February 26. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov Wednesday met with ambassadors of EU countries and the head of the EU delegation in Moscow to discuss the situation in Ukraine, the Foreign Ministry reported on Wednesday.

“Lavrov praised relations between Russia and the European Union in terms of the results of the Russia-EU summit held in January and confirmed Russia’s readiness to develop long-term mutually advantageous cooperation with the EU,” the ministry said.

“The lack of progress in the visa dialogue has a negative impact on prospects for expanding humanitarian and tourism relations between Russia and the EU countries,” Lavrov said.
