Putin discusses situation in Ukraine with Russia’s Security Council

MOSCOW, February 25. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin had an urgent meeting with permanent members of the Russian Security Council on Tuesday morning.

“The meeting focused on development of situation in Ukraine,” Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

The meeting brought together Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Chief of the Presidential Staff Sergey Ivanov, parliamentary Speakers Valentina Matviyenko and Sergei Naryshkin, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Federal Security Service Director Alexander Bortnikov and Foreign Intelligence Service Director Mikhail Fradkov.
