MOSCOW, February 22, (ITAR-TASS) - A new UN Security Council resolution on humanitarian aid to Syria proves that humanitarian efforts in Syria will be taken in compliance with the UN principles, Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said.
“We’ve insisted on this while working on the text,” the diplomat said.
“The resolution also demands humanitarian aid be delivered through confrontation lines and borders with adjacent countries. This means that Syria’s sovereignty should be respected and that the government’s view should be met,” the spokesman said.
