VLADIVOSTOK, February 13. /ITAR-TASS/. The capital of Russian Far East, Vladivostok, will again host the Youth Games of the Sea of Japan Countries in August, director of the Primorsky Territory’s physical culture and sport department Zhan Kuznetsov said, adding that the games would bring together young athletes from Russia, Japan, China and South Korea.
The Youth Games have been held regularly since 1998. However, last year this tradition was broken over a devastating flood in the Far East.
This year the Primorsky Territory would host several international sports events such as Sambo World Cup stage International tournament “Memorial Yuri Potapov,” International Badminton Tournament Russian Open, the Pyort Veliky Bay regatta, Russian boxing and Greco-Roman wrestling tournaments and Vladivostok Dragon Boat Rowing Contest.
The World Rally Aquabikes Championship will be held in Vladivostok for the second year running. Vladivostok will host the Russian Mixed Martial Arts Cup in September and Kudo Asian Cup in June.
